Sample Life Cycle

General Sample Life Cycle

The unique Workflow user interface grafically represents the progress of a sample through the laboratory. Simply click on a selected step in the flow diagram and go straight to that LIMS function. This interface is more intuitive that conventional menus as it better represents the sequance of work in the laboratory. Moreover multiple workflow interfaces can be used and they can be individually configured to suit different work practices.

Matrix will fits it self seamlessly in any lab. Matrix is designed to be highly configurable, therefore changes that are needed to be done, for example the workflow, could be done within shortest time possible.

Multi Sample Registration

Multiple Registration Screen

Sample registration, in whatever mode of operation, typically allows the identification of the sample submitter and/or the customer. In addition the sample or product type can be identified that in turn allocates a pre-defined test suite to the sample for routine applications. Tests can be manually assigned to samples in non-routine environments.

Matrix LIMS also provides possibility of a Multi Registration Screen. Where different type of samples can be handled seperately with totaly different workflow. For example, raw material, in-process samples, finished products or special sample such as competitor samples.

MSRE

Result Entry

Results are entered either manually or directly from instruments and systems connected to Matrix LIMS. Manual result entry is available on a sample by sample or test by test basis.

An extension of the result entry screen design is a two dimensional spreadsheet available for entering and reviewing multiple tests across multiple samples (known as MSRE)

Approval

Approval

Matrix LIMS provides result validation and multilevel sample approval stages that may be configured to suit the needs of a particular laboratory or organisation for more security.

Test Status

Process status

Matrix Gemini supports test groups enabling one or more tests to be associated with a test group.

The concept of test groups can be used to manage processes and process steps. A number of steps may be involved in the preparation stage (for example) of a sample such as weighing a sample amount, extracting with a volume of solvent etc.

The status of the entire process can be monitored using an overview screen and variety of reports can be generated.

OneTime Config Tools

Configuration Tools

Matrix has top of the line configuration utility which is commonly known as screen editor. Any changes that are need to be conducted can be done with this tool. Furthermore, all of the configuration in Matrix system does not required any programming language. And whatever changes you have made will be applied immediately to your LAN, WAN or WEB users.

Keeping tracks of samples whether they are on registration, reception or even reported stage is very easy in Matrix Gemini thanks to the Sample Status function.

You can get any type of queries to search for any specific samples just by entering for example, date registered, customers, status, etc.

One Stop Wizard

One Stop Wizard

Matrix can deploy a "one-stop" interface where majority of LIMS functions are readily accessible from just a single screen.

Similar to Sample Status, multiple filtering through queries are also provided to search a particular sample.
