The event took place In September 23-26, 2008. The Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL), the United States Government (USG) Vietnam and Vietnam Administration of HIV/AIDS Control (VAAC) as a co-hosts, hosted the event that brings together 22 countries and over 100 attendees
The goal for the meeting were to share experiences and lessons learned, providing guidance on selecting and implementing LIS, examine and discussing availble commercial and open source LIS software and discuss the challanges and costs of LIS.
